Spring Session Wrap-up

Illinois Lawmakers left Springfield on May 31 after passing a $35.4-billlion budget, concealed carry legislation, and expanding the state’s Medicaid system, but they’ll be back in town later this month after failing to solve the state’s nearly $100-billion public pension crisis.

On this special edition of Illinois Lawmakers, Jak Tichenor and his guests discuss what happens next with the pension issue, implementing concealed carry, and a host of other topics, including fracking, same-sex marriage, and casino gaming.

Guests include Assistant House Majority Leader Rep. John Bradley (D-Marion), Assistant Senate Republican Leader Sen. David Luechtefeld (R-Okawville), House Republican Caucus Chairman Rep. Mike Bost (R-Murphysboro), and Rep. Brandon Phelps (D-Harrisburg).
