#3106 - Budget Impasse Continues

Illinois Lawmakers appear no closer to breaking the state’s nearly one year old budget impasse as the spring session comes to an end on May 31st.

Capitolfax.com publisher Rich Miller leads off this week’s edition of Illinois Lawmakers.  Then, Deputy House Majority Leader Lou Lang (D) Skokie and Assistant Senate Republican Leader Dave Syverson (R) Rockford spar over a new $39-billion House Democrat budget for FY 2017 that falls seven billion short of being balanced between revenues and spending.  Later, retiring lawmakers Senator William Delgado (D) Chicago and Representative David Leitch (R) Peoria discuss changes in the Springfield political scene during their nearly 50-years of combined service in the General Assembly.
